Thoughts about Restorative Yoga


According to J. H. Lasater's definition, "restorative yoga is the use of props to create positions of ease and comfort that facilitate relaxation and health."

It is available for everybody no matter how experienced yoga student you are, what your age is, and what medical condition you are in.

There is a great demand for such a practice in our today's time-pressured world. Our life is so much affected by constant stress and we are in an immense need of rebalancing, disconnecting, turning our attention inward and just listening to our mind, body, thoughts and spirit, dedicating a few quiet moments to ourselves, too.

Restorative yoga connects us with our deeper self, offering self-healing, understanding, acceptance, teaches us how to cultivate compassion towards ourselves and others, being more present, and consciously letting go.
